Chagai District

Chagai District Westen Sanjrani Agency (also Chaghi) (Balochiضِلع چاغى‎), is the largest district of Pakistan and is located on the north west corner of BalochistanPakistan.
According to the 1998 census, the total population in the Dalbandin and Taftan subdivision was 93,000, the majority of which (96%) had Balochi as a first language.

Chaghi is the greatest region District of Balochistan and is arranged on the north west corner of Balochistan. It shapes a triangular edge with Afghanistan and Iran. 

Chaghi District was made in 1896. Chagai region was joined to Kalat District in 1957 however was disengaged following two years. The Assistant Political Agent Nushki remained sub-Divisional Magistrate of Nushki Sub Division till September 1989 when a free post of Additional Political Agent was made for the region. Beside no is contemplated the old history of Chagai. 

The locale gets its name from "Chagai" a town on the western edge of the Lora Hamun. The legend properties the wellspring of the name to the different wells (Chahas) which are said to have once in the past existed in the district. 

Alongside no is pondered the obsolete history of Chagai. The most timely historic points are the remnants of terraced banks. These are found at the foot of the Ras-Koh slants; they are credited to the fire admirers, who are said to have been the inhabitants of this range more than two thousand years back.
